Prof. Dr. Wallace M. Bessa

Wallace Bessa Wallace Moreira Bessa is Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and Research Fellow of the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). He also serves as Associate Editor of Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering (Springer) and as Member of the Committee for Dynamics of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering (ABCM). He graduated at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, earned his master degree at the Brazilian Military Institute of Engineering, and received his doctoral degree at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. From 2015 to 2017, he was a CAPES-Humboldt Research Fellow at the Institute of Mechanics and Ocean Engineering of the Hamburg University of Technology. His research interests include control theory, intelligent systems, robotics, mechatronics and nonlinear dynamics.
